Refund & Returns Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy sets out how MODUVO ("we", "us", "our") handles returns, refunds, replacements and repairs. It applies to everything bought through moduvo.com.au, including the hardware and fittings we sell from other brands.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy limits those rights. Where anything here appears to, the Australian Consumer Law wins.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), the goods we sell must be of acceptable quality, fit for any purpose you told us about, match their description and any sample or demonstration model, and come with clear title. Our cabinets, wardrobe packages and inserts are assembled by us in Moorabbin before they ship, and the guarantees cover that assembly as part of the goods.
A major failure is where the goods:
- have a problem that would have stopped a reasonable person from buying them had they known about it;
- are significantly different from their description, sample or demonstration model;
- are substantially unfit for their normal purpose and can't easily be put right within a reasonable time;
- are unfit for a purpose you told us about and can't easily be put right within a reasonable time; or
- are unsafe.
For a major failure you choose a refund or a replacement, or you can keep the goods and be compensated for the drop in their value. For a failure that is not major, we may repair the goods, replace them or refund you; if we do not put it right within a reasonable time, you can have it fixed elsewhere and recover the reasonable cost from us, or reject the goods.
The consumer guarantees are not limited to a set number of days. They last for as long as it is reasonable to expect for goods of that kind, given their price and how they have been described.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If an item is faulty, arrives damaged, or is not what you ordered, contact us at sales@moduvo.com.au with:
- your order number;
- a description of the problem; and
- photos of the fault or damage (and, for damage in transit, the packaging).
Please tell us about damage in transit as soon as you can — ideally within 14 days of delivery — because the sooner we know, the sooner we can claim against the carrier and get a replacement to you. Telling us later does not take away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
We will reply within 5 business days to tell you how we will put it right. Where goods need to come back to us because of a fault, a transit claim or our mistake, we pay for it. Assembled cabinets and wardrobes are large, so we arrange and pay for their collection rather than asking you to send them.
Products from other brands
We are your point of contact for every product we sell, including Blum, Titus Tekform and Häfele hardware. You do not have to go to the manufacturer yourself. Many of these products also carry a manufacturer's warranty, which applies in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and we will handle that claim for you as well.
When the consumer guarantees do not apply
Under the Australian Consumer Law you are not entitled to a remedy where, for example, you:
- have simply changed your mind, found the item cheaper elsewhere, or decided you no longer want it;
- damaged the goods yourself, or used them in a way that is abnormal for goods of that kind;
- were told about a fault or problem before you bought the item; or
- asked for something specific that we told you would not be suitable.
Normal wear and tear over time is not a fault.
Change-of-mind returns
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Wardrobe inserts and custom sizes are made to the measurements you give us, so please check sizes, finishes and specifications before ordering, and contact us if you are unsure whether something is right for your space — we are happy to help.
This does not affect your rights for goods that are faulty, mis-described or otherwise fail a consumer guarantee.
Refund processing
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving the returned item, or of agreeing the refund where no return is needed. Depending on your bank or card provider, the money may take a further 3–10 business days to appear.
Where a refund is for a fault, a transit claim or our mistake, it includes any delivery charge you paid for the item.
